Miss Ward found some sneaky elves playing in Home Base 9! We have had such a fun year together in Home Base 9. We have learnt lots of new things and been on some awesome trips! We would like to say a big thank you to our wonderful parents for always offering to help us, both at home and school. Have a lovely summer break! Last Friday we were lucky enough to have some experts come to school to teach us some cricket skills. We learnt how to throw and catch properly and even tried clapping before we caught the ball. After that they showed us how to hit a ball with a bat and then we played a game. Many of us are looking forward to playing cricket in summer!
Each Wednesday until Week 8 we have football lessons with Mick and Matt. We have had so much fun over the past two weeks learning how to dribble the ball and play a game. For Nifty News Wolfie told us that the council are looking to upgrade the Abberley Park playground. He told us that at the moment they are coming up with ideas of what they could do to it. We decided to help out them out and create our own designs. We gave them to Wolfie's Mum who works at the council and she passed them on the the project team. We are looking forward to seeing if any of our ideas will be used. Thanks for sharing Wolfie!
Last Thursday we had our 100 days of school celebration. We all dressed up and did fun activities to do with 100. Our highlight of the day was when Stan, Mrs Simmons neighbour came to visit us. Stan turned 100 in May this year.
On Monday we went to visit our buddy class, Home Base 18. They have been practising to read with expression and punctuation. They read us some really cool books and sounded great!! Lucky us!!
