On Friday, Rich, Archie's Dad came along to class to talk to us about his trip to Japan. We had plenty of questions and comments for him! The green tea was yummy:)

We watched this clip and discussed how we can get better at tasks by giving good feedback. We are trying to draw birds in class so we can make them out of wire and beads. Feedback is important so we can improve our work.
Well done to everyone who took part in our class competition today. The standard was very high and all children worked so hard to met their personal goals. I was so proud of absolutely everyone! Goals included: using eye contact, correct speed, good volume, use of gestures or props, remembering your poem and choosing a poem that is a good length for you. It was great to see family members coming to watch and we also had our buddy class watching and Miss Scadden judging. Congratulations to our class winners: First, Elias, second: Sharna and third: Emily. Our team finals will be held on Tuesday next week.
Today we celebrated World Read Aloud Day. We read aloud in class, Mrs Simmons read two chapters of The BFG and our buddy class visited and we read to them and then we listened while they read to us. What a fun day!
Today we learned abut the Olympic Rings. The colours symbolise all the countries that take part in the Olympic Games. At least one colour is in every countries flag. The rings are joined to show the joining of all the countries in sport. We are making posters. Today we made the Olympic Rings using paint and paper cups. Did you know that there is an Olympic flag? It has the rings on it and it has a white background.
We watched the trailer and then we chose an animal and thought and wrote about how they would be feeling. This is what we thought:
Thinking: Hopefully I win I will win I'm gonna do this I'm going to win even if I'm slow (sloth) See: I see trees I see straight ahead I'm ready We used the iPads to create on Easy Studio. We all had turns making a snow man and a train. We had to build them using the shapes. We took a picture, then moved the shapes a little bit and then took another picture. We did this 6 times, then we played our movie. Animation is fun!
