Today we were scientists and made diagrams of plants. Tomorrow we will make flip books using the knowledge we gained today. Check out our great work here. This term we decided to use Wordificator to publish our holiday highlights on. We wrote our favourite key words from our holidays. Next we typed these words into Wordificator on the iPads. We chose the shape and colours and fonts we wanted to use. Check out our great work. Check out our completed calendar art below or on our classroom wall or in the office. We would LOVE You to order a calendar - the children are so proud of their work and it is supporting our school at the same time. They are also becoming rather expert at Green Screening - each child took the photo of a buddy to add to the painting they did - the final results look fantastic. We worked hard to plant our Little Gardens from New World. We have had fun watching the seeds germinate. We made some posters to give people growing tips that may be shown on TV One news. Over the holidays the children will continue to grow their plants and then we will have a feast day next term when we taste what we've grown. We have begun working on our calendar art for this year. We decided to do a starry night picture. We got this inspiration from a Roald Dahl story - the BFG. We've been reading lots of his stories as today would have been his 100th birthday. We have also been learning to use water colours in our class and have had Sarah come and work with us as she is an expert. This art piece combines all of this learning. So far we have created our water colour background. We worked hard to complete our Indian Elephant art - we used a variety of things to make these look fantastic. We are experts at using the glue guns now too (our school has special glue guns that are not too hot for us to use :)). We have had so much fun learning how to play football over at English Park. |
